Let The Films Talk Festival
Jamison Firestone, Managing Partner of law firm Firestone Duncan attended the premier of “Justice for Sergei” in Vilnius, Lithuania last week. “Justice for Sergei” is the award winning documentary film about the life and death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. Sergei was killed in custody by the Russian authorities for uncovering and exposing government corruption and theft of state taxes by police and other government officials.
The film screening was hosted by the Lithuanian Centre for Human Rights (LCHR) as part of the “Inconvenient Films” human rights film festival. “Justice for Sergei“ was selected as the opening film and the screening was attended by Lithuania MPs, Members of the European Parliament, Ambassadors, NGOs and members of the media.
