US blacklists officials involved in Magnitsky case Apart from banning the blacklisted officials from crossing US borders, the authors of the bill demand that the US Finance Ministry should seize their assets and not allow them to perform any financial operations in the US or even in US banks abroad.

 

17 March 2011. The “Justice for Sergei”: film will be screened at the One World Festival 2011. The director of the film, Martin Maart, talks about the investigation into the suspicious death of Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky, who discovered a massive tax scam carried out by Russian officials, and for which he ended up paying with his life.
